Ben and Dave’s Six Pack is the brainchild of veteran radio jock Ben Harvey and NYC comic Dave Rubin. The show features discussion of hot button gay issues, celebrity and band interviews, and hand-picked new music…all in six easy to digest weekly segments.
Ben Harvey is a radio DJ, TV personality, and writer. He hosted the evening show on 92.3 K-Rock, Howard Stern’s NY flagship station, from 2003-2006. Since then Ben has worked for the LGBT-themed HERE! cable TV network and Radio with a Twist, a nationally syndicated gay radio show. His writing has appeared in The Advocate magazine, Queerty.com, and the book Should I Do What I Love? By Katy Mccoll. In 2007, Ben was the recipient of the award for Excellence in Online Journalism from the National Lesbian and Gay Journalist’s Association. Ben’s web site: djbenharvey.com
Dave Rubin is a stand-up comedian, TV personality, and blogger. He co-founded Comedy Company NYC and is co-creator of the public-access TV series The Anti-Show. After nine years working as a comedian, Rubin publicly came out in 2006, and has since become a fixture in the New York gay comedy scene. Rubin was the host of the Hot Gay Comics and Topical programs for the LGBT-themed HERE! TV network. Currently he runs “The Back Room” comedy night at Comix Comedy Club. – Entertainment Weekly
GAY VAGUE
“Yes, Ben Harvey and Dave Rubin are indeed queer. But the cute twosome (who has an easy, almost brotherly on-air rapport) gives a new definition to ‘straight-acting.’ Give your gaydar a workout.”
– HX Magazine
SHOCK JOCKS
“Sort of like the old Howard Stern show, but 2/3 less raunchy and 1/3 more gay.”
– Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
